Safety First: How We Keep Coronavirus Out

We wanted to take the time to provide you with more information about the COVID-19 pandemic and how we are still operating and keeping not only our patients but our staff safe in these unprecedented times.  We want to assure you that we are following CDC recommended guidelines for medical offices. Our baseline cleaning measures have been stepped up to help prevent the possible spread of infection in patients who may be asymptomatic carriers.

At this time we are not seeing any patients who are experiencing symptoms of cough, shortness of breath or fever to reduce risk of transmission to other patients and our staff.  We are screening patients prior to coming into clinic as well as once they arrive. We have a questionnaire that every patient is required to fill out prior to being seen for visits. Every staff member, patient and also anyone that accompanies the patient to their visit will have a temperature checked once entering the office. We have recently taken measures to limit the amount of people in our clinic and unless necessary, patients are not allowed to bring visitors/family with them into the lobby or to the visit. We will be providing masks for our patients to wear as they enter into our clinic.

In order to decrease the risk of cross contamination, all doors that are able to stay propped open, remain open during business hours. This measure is to help prevent contact and the constant need to touch door handles. We are wiping down all surfaces in our waiting rooms between patients and are also spacing out patient visits to reduce the number of people in our waiting room.  Our exam rooms and any devices that are used at the time of your visit are properly cleaned after every single use. The door handles and all counters are cleaned and wiped down thoroughly after any contact a staff member or patient made with these surfaces. The staff are also wearing face mask as needed to prevent any possible transmission to our patients at the time of your exam.

We strive to make our staff and patients feel safe and comfortable during this time of uncertainty. With our combined efforts, we will all get through this together as a community. Stay safe and healthy Austin, TX.
